Using Patient Outcomes to Inform Surgical Education

Dr. Karl Y. Bilimoria, MD, MS will serve as PI, As a leader of ongoing research into the effect of education reforms on surgical outcomes, Dr. Bilimoria will contribute his expertise in research and surgical education to assessments of the relationship between education and clinical outcomes. Dr. Bilimoria will be involved in the design of clinically-specific measures for process and outcomes of surgical care, and will contribute to the preparation of manuscripts describing results in the surgical education literature and presenting findings to prominent professional surgeon organizations.
