VA IPA agreement for Shamali Dusane

Dr. Dusane will be responsible for administering gait training to participants with incomplete spinal cord injury. During training sessions and laboratory experiments she will be responsible for monitoring the participants' health and safety. Dr. Dusane will also perform clinical outcome measures on study participants to assess gait, balance, and muscular function. Dr. Dusane will assist with data collections. She will help prepare participants for study experiments by placing kinematic markers, EMG electrodes and safety harnesses on them. Dr. Dusane will work with the clinical coordinator to recruit potential spinal cord injury participants. She will be responsible for screening potential spinal cord injury participants to ensure they meet inclusion/exclusion criteria. She will obtain informed consent from study participants. Dr. Dusane will also be responsible for maintaining and organizing experimental records. Dr. Dusane will assist with analyzing and interpreting data collected from this study. She will participate in writing abstracts and publications and will present data at meeting and conferences.
