Abstract

We provide an overview of the results published in I&ECR in 2023. The Editors delineate major research trends and highlight key results. The intent is both retrospective, recapitulating our endeavors, and introspective, reflecting our collective understanding of the vast amounts of material that we processed. Last but not least, this overview is intended to be prospective, in that it will aid future authors in assessing the fit of the manuscripts to consider submitting to the journal to the scope and ethos of I&ECR, and the community at large in assessing current and promising future research directions.
