Abstract

On the basis of mathematical simulation for the heat effect of high-irradiance laser on biological tissues, the present authors worked out a practical mathematical model and a new numerical method to solve the problem, in particular, the relation of the cutting depth in laser-irradiated tissue to the output power and acting time. The calculated results from this relation are basically in agreement with the experimental data on the cutting depth induced by high-irradiance laser.
