Abstract

A novel micromachining process for embedding ferromagnetic materials within a thin, spin-casted polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) membrane was developed. Unique pump and diffuser mechanisms that allow for continuous pumping were also developed. Experimentally, successful on-chip fluid pumping was successfully demonstrated.
