Abstract

A new approach to treat the substates hierarchy in complex biochemical and physicochemical systems (such as spin glasses, proteins, various biological objects, etc.) is proposed. This approach introduces the possibility of taking into account energy-landscape fluctuations as well as correlations between the fluctuations in distinct scales and overlapping substates. Several proposals concerning the evaluation of energy-landscape fine-structure characteristics and other applications of the new method have been set forth.
