Abstract

Page 390. In the legend to Figure 5, line 2, histamine should read histidine. In column 1, the sentence beginning on line 26 of the text should read: Whereas the proposed movement of the N atom of the proximal histidine group in Hb is about 0.85 A on oxygenation, an upper limit of about 0.38 A can be placed on the similar movement in CoHb.
