This paper discusses the theoretical phase diagrams obtained for triblock copolymers of varying degrees of asymmetry, and points out some particular triblock architectures that may feature microcomposite morphologies with improved mechanical properties. The work described here is an extension of the mean-field analysis for diblocks to A-B-A triblock systems of varying degrees of asymmetry. The phase diagram of the microphase morphologies is discovered to change significantly as the triblock architecture is altered. The influence of concentration fluctuations on the phase behavior of triblock melts is also demonstrated.
