An overview of power-law creep in polycrystalline β-titanium

Abstract

An overview of power-law creep in polycrystalline β-titanium was presented. A constitutive law for power-law creep of BCC β-Ti was developed based on experimental data. The results indicated that creep of β-Ti folowed a typical power-law over strain rates from 10-7 to 102 s-1, stresses from 0.5 MPa to 50 MPa and temperature from 900 to 1300 °C.
