Abstract

This chapter covers anesthesia for a wide-ranging group of patients with congenital heart disease. It begins with assessment of patients, then covers anesthetic management-including regional anesthesia and fast tracking and early extubation-cardiac imaging, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac pharmacology, and finally discusses the postanesthesia process.
