Abstract

The effects on grey-level images from the aspect of image processing were examined. The framework of the automated face detection system essentially consists of three stages. The system establishes an environment of multi-channeled visual information of various attributes for the task of face detection at the final stage. It was found that the visual information extracted by the operators emulating respectively the response profiles of center-on and center-off receptive fields were complementary.
