Collisional energy transfer as a probe of ergodicity in molecular vibrational motions

Abstract

Collisional energy transfer in a model atom⋯triatom system is studied at energies above and below the ergodic threshold. No important changes in energy transfer behaviour are observed as the ergodic threshold is passed using a Henon-Heiles intramolecular potential.
