Compact organic Electro-Optic (EO) modulator with ultra low switching voltage and large bandwidth using Transparent Conducting Oxides (TCO) bridge electrodes

Abstract

We report a new promising voltage-size performance record (0.6V-cm) of the organic EO modulator using transparent conducting oxides as the bridge electrodes. The comprehensive theoretical analysis predicts large electrical bandwidth (>40GHz) is achievable.
