Abstract

In this work, we report on the results of the oxidation of C2 to C6 alkanes on three different catalysts: VMgO, in which the active component is magnesium orthovanadate; Mg2V2O7; and VPO, whose active component is (VO)2P2O7. A model to explain the gross differences among the alkanes and the catalysts is also presented.
