Abstract

Control over ordering in colloidal crystals using surface templating was discussed. The deposition of colloidal crystals on holographically produced textured substrates that induce long-range ordering in the crystal was presented. Results showed colloids deposited on gratings whose spatial period was approximately 0.81 sphere diameter.
