Abstract

The spinodal decomposition of phase separating systems in an external field was discussed using the convective Cahn-Hilliard models. The transition from the coarsening regime to a chaotic behavior characterized by the stationary and traveling periodic structures was studied. The kinetic roughening of thermodynamically unstable surfaces of convective Cahn-Hilliard model for large driving force was investigated.
