Correlation of ridging and texture in ferritic stainless steel sheet

Abstract

A simplified method is developed to analyze ridging in ferritic stainless steel sheet. This simple ridging model (SRM) is based on crystal plasticity and directly incorporates measured EBSD information. It is demonstrated that the SRM can be used to not only quickly analyze the ridging phenomena but also correlate ridging with textures in ferritic stainless steel sheet.
