Abstract

The authors regret that there are some minor mistakes in the original manuscript, which are revised below. Page 192, first paragraph. In the sentence “When the static deflection amplitude of the buckled ribbon is much larger than the ribbon thickness, i.e. A(0)>>h, A(2) is then much larger than A(1)”, “A(2)” should be “ΔA(2)” and “A(1)” should be “ΔA(1)”, to be consistent with those in Eq. (25) Page 192, below Eq. (28). In the sentence “The above analysis suggests a distinct dependence of the first-order out-of-plane natural frequency at two different limit conditions of A(0)<<h”, “A(0)<<h” should be “A(0)/h”, to be consistent with the discussion in Section 2.2. Page 200, at the end of Section 4, the half sentence “Due to the assumption that the” should be deleted. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
