Abstract

Large cations such as Ph4P and Pr4N favor a trigonal planar coordination, small ones such as Me4N a tetrahedral coordination of Ag in silver polyselenides. In the novel complex {[Me4N][Ag(Se5)]}n one‐dimensional infinite [Ag(Se5)] nn⊖ macroanions are present in which the Se 52⊖ ligands bridge three Ag atoms (see 1). (Figure Presented.)
