The scaled order parameter for ferromagnetic Ising and three-state Potts chains were demonstrated using inverse square interactions. The critical properties were determined by combining renormalization-group arguments with numerical simulations of systems containing lattice sites. It was shown that the inverse square Ising and three-state Potts chain represented one-dimensional analog of Kosterlitz-Thouless transitions.
