Crossover behavior in 3He and Xe near their liquid-vapor critical point

The crossover from mean-field to Ising field is investigated for both 3He and Xe. The large temperature on either side of critical temperature is discussed. The crossover regime is widened by the interplay between quantum and critical fluctuations. Exchange effects decreases the compressibility of 3He.
