Abstract
In this second round of essays on John Dower's Cultures of War: Pearl Harbor / Hiroshima / 9-11 / Iraq (Norton, 2010) participants expand upon and/or clarify the articles they contributed in the first round, published in Critical Asian Studies 43:2 (2011), and address themselves to points raised by the other participants. Participants include Sheila Miyoshi Jager (Oberlin), Monica Kim (Chicago), Ravi Arvind Palat (Binghamton), Emily S. Rosenberg (UC-Irvine), and Ussama Makdisi (Rice).
