Abstract

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has established a Center for Science and Technology of Advanced Cement-Based Materials (ACBM) at Northwestern University. Cement-based materials are extremely complex, and the precise relationships between processing methods and the properties of cement-based materials are not completely understood. The ACBM Center will develop the science necessary to create new materials and help restore U.S. leadership in cement technology.
