Current status of experimental searches for QCD exotics

QCD predicts the existence of 'exotic' structures with explicit gluonic degrees of freedom, such as qqg hybrids and gg glueballs. We report here the recent discovery of JPC = 1+- mesons which must be exotic (most likely qqg) because qq mesons can not have these quantum numbers. We also report on the present status of the experimental searches for scalar (0++) and tensor (2++) glueballs.
