Demonstration: A high-fidelity surface-haptic device for texture rendering on bare finger

Abstract

In this demonstration, we present a device able to control the friction force that a bare finger experiences when exploring the workspace. Special attention has been given to the rendering fidelity of the force that the finger experiences. Participants will explore the glass plate freely with their bare finger and will able to feel any texture programmed onto the controller with a high level of reproduction accuracy.
