Abstract

The results of a prospective 5-year study of four cases of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans resected by Mohs' surgery, fresh-tissue technic, are presented. The literature is reviewed with regard to the incidence of metastasis and the cell type of origin of this rare tumor. The application of immunohistochemical technics to this tumor is discussed.
