Abstract

Self-direction: A rationally designed self-complementary template (see picture) is capable of replication, thereby amplifying itself from a reaction mixture to the exclusion of its diastereomer. This approach allows a highly selective amplification by focusing on templates that display a high level of complementarity to transition states. (Figure Presented).
