Abstract

Infarct expansion carries a poor prognosis. Echocardiography can identify this condition by identifying distortion of the ventricular topography. In this review we discuss the acute and long-term effects of thrombolysis on infarct expansion and subsequent left ventricular remodeling after acute myocardial infarction.
