Abstract
The methodology for development of small scale maps of attenuation on Earth-space paths in the European region for the 11 to 14.5 GHz frequency range is described. A 5 min rain intensity data base with 627 stations was constructed. A method for predicting slant path attenuation based on a knowledge of the microphysical structure of rain storms as gained from dual polarization radar measurements is proposed. -from STAR, 21(15), 1983
