The crystal structure of dineodymium tritelluride, Nd2Te3, was investigated. Nd2Te3 was found to be isostructural with Gd2Te3 from the single-crystal study, crystallizing in the U2S3 structure type. Each of the two non-equivalent Nd atoms was surrounded by seven Te atoms, with the polyhedra described as a sevenoctahedron and a monocapped trigonal prism. Results showed that all atoms lie on mirror planes.
