Discontinuous field-velocity relation for vortex rings in superfluid solutions

Abstract

The simultaneous existence of two different ring velocities observed in dilute 3He- 4He solutions below 45 mK can be interpreted as evidence for the existence of rings with different quanta of circulation or a resonance in the ring-3He scattering cross section.
