Dissipation and contact-line motion

Abstract

The forced motion of a droplet trapped in a cone including contact-line motion is determined. In addition, the viscous and contact-line dissipation associated with the motion is determined. It is found that in certain limits, the contact-line dissipation can dominate the viscous dissipation.
