Abstract

The distribution of Langerhans cells in normal and carcinogen‐treated mucosa of buccal pouches of hamsters was studied. Decrease in density and in focal aggregates of Langerhans cells and loss of their complex dendritic networks were found in carcinogen‐treated mucosa. 1981 American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc.
