Abstract

Summary form only given. Computer-aided diagnosis of dyspepsia is of interest to both physicians and computer scientists. A neural network using backpropagation has been applied to this problem, which gives better results than previous systems. The program has been tested using a database of about 700 medical records collected at the local hospital.
