Abstract

A new, more realistic method of error analysis for robots is proposed based on the volumetric accuracy error analysis as applied to machine tools. At present, trajectory error is primarily determined by static means i. e. , repeatability values at the destination points. However, dynamic error analysis i. e. the determination of errors along the trajectory provides a more accurate and improved description of the error limits of the robot.
