This work was supported by NIH grant R01MH118370 (CG). Rodrigo M. Braga is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University. Dr Braga received his Ph.D. in 2014 from Imperial College London and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and Stanford University. He is the recipient of the Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Wellcome Trust and the Pathway to Independence Award from the NIH. Dr Braga’s research has focused on unraveling the detailed organization of distributed networks that populate association cortex, and understanding how this organization relates to cognition. His research has shown that within individuals large-scale networks can be reliably defined which show selective specialization for advanced cognitive functions, including linguistic and internally constructive processes. Ongoing research is characterizing the nature of interactions across functional regions by combining individual-level network definition with intracranial recordings and stimulation.
