Abstract

We compared the effect of presence or absence of hyaluronidase in the retrobulbar anesthetic injection in 609 patients undergoing extracapsular cataract surgery with posterior chamber lens implantation. We found no significant difference with or without hyaluronidase in the retrobulbar injection with regard to cystoid macular edema rate or postoperative visual results.
