Abstract
The use of rubber stamping and optical near-field methods that use photomasks and moulding techniques for the manufacture of integrated optics and electronic devices is studied. The fidelity of the molding process is demonstrated through the fabrication of working plastic lasers that use molded distributed feedback (DFB) and distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) and photonic crystal resonators with features as small as 100 nm.
