Abstract

Embedding is the process of fixing a flattened tissue specimen in embedding media. Accurate embedding of Mohs tissue specimens is essential to preparing the entire peripheral and deep surgical margin for high-quality Mohs tissue sections. Multiple varied techniques for embedding Mohs tissue specimens and related equipment Equipment are described in detail. Potential pitfalls encountered during the embedding process are highlighted, and important troubleshooting Troubleshooting tips are outlined.
