Abstract

Understanding the patient population and common risk factors that result in spinal cord injury (SCI) and prevention of these injuries is essential to individual treatment, healthcare policy and advocacy for this population. This chapter will focus on the epidemiology, risk factors and prevention of spinal cord injuries.
