Abstract

The engineering undergraduate education Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)'s Engineering Criteria 2000 (EC2000) reform is both a welcome innovation and an unwelcome chore. Northwestern University's engineering programs face review by ABET in the 1999-2000 academic year and the school has elected to be judged under the EC2000 guidelines. The school is generally prepared for the transition from the ABET's rule preceding EC2000 to the current guidelines.
