Abstract

This paper presents a series of experimental investigations on the influence of various factors on the efficiency of the micro-drilling process. The effects of micro-drill geometry and cutting conditions on the magnitude of the drilling forces and torque and drill wear were systematically examined. In addition, the influence of drill wear on initial penetration behavior is ascertained.
