Abstract

The experimental simulation of two entangled quantum bits using classical fields of two frequencies and two polarizations was demonstrated. It was shown that analog multiplication of heterodyne signals arising from classical fields lead to measurement in a product basis and permitted the simulation of multiparticle entanglement. The classical field methods are useful in small scale simulation of quantum logic operations requiring multiparticle entanglement without collapse.
