N2 - Sub-micron waveguide fabrication in AlN-GaN-AlN is demonstrated. Improvement to sidewall verticality and reduced nanorod defects through optimized etching parameters are highlighted. Dice-and-cleave approach is adopted to achieve good end-facets.
