Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

The article discusses the effects of music training on the brain. It mentions one example of neurological changes in the brain when having music training such as the reorganization of motor cortex which happens to string-instrument players. It states examples of changes in the brain of musicians which involve auditory centers such as the magnetoence-phalography (MEG) study which showed an increase in auditory cortical activation of adult musicians to piano tones in relation to pure tones.
