Abstract

Postoperative respiratory complications account for a preponderance of morbidity and mortality in the postoperative period. These complications constitute a wide range of disorders; accordingly, preoperative identification of risks factors for respiratory complications allows preoperative intensification of outpatient treatment regimens in the higher risk patient groups.
