Abstract

Debra Tolchinsky (Director, Cinematographer, Co-producer) with David Tolchinsky (Co-producer).

56-minute documentary feature that tracks the Northwestern University debate team as it tries for a second consecutive championship while simultaneously examining why college debaters now talk so fast (the fastest in excess of 500 words per minute) and reflecting upon speed debates relationship to a more general acceleration. Over 200 hours of footage shot.
