Abstract
Cranial fibrous dysplasia presented with an acute devastating monocular visual loss in a 13-year-old boy. Decompression of the optic nerve restored the vision completely. In adding this case to a similar one reported earlier, we would like to draw attention to occasional acute ocular manifestation of the entity. Ophthalmological, radiological and pathological features of the disorder are discussed.
