Abstract

According to WHO estimates, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in industrialized nations, accounting for over 16.6 million deaths worldwide each year [1]. In addition, 600 million people with high blood pressure are at risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiac failure [2].
