Abstract

A series of oligoparaxylene model compounds with two to six paraxylene units was synthesised and the resulting mixtures of atropisomers with one to five axes of chirality were analysed by dynamic 1H NMR spectroscopy. The number of atropisomers was found to constitute part of the Losanitsch series.
